Il est situ\u00e9 au sommet du versant nord du vallon du Pommaret dont il tire son nom, non loin des grottes de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reveeveille.net\/candelhospitalet\/?p=42\">Nozi\u00e8re<\/a> et des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reveeveille.net\/candelhospitalet\/?p=605\">Farous<\/a>, sur la bordure nord du plateau de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reveeveille.net\/candelhospitalet\/?p=1790\">Fau Florit<\/a>. Pour le trouver : rep\u00e9rer un sentier de chasseurs qui circule \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizontale quelques m\u00e8tres en dessous du plateau, et le suivre vers l&rsquo;ouest, c&rsquo;est \u00e0 dire en direction du causse M\u00e9jean. L&rsquo;aven est sur la gauche, bien visible, \u00e0 une centaine de m\u00e8tres avant que le sentier n&rsquo;oblique franchement \u00e0 gauche vers le sud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec ses 60 m\u00e8tres de profondeur r\u00e9partis en deux puits successifs, c&rsquo;est la cavit\u00e9 la plus profond des plateaux des cans que je connaisse \u00e0 ce jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.reveeveille.net\/photos\/2024\/1227_fau_florit\/20241227_fau_florit_01.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Je n&rsquo;ai pas eu l&rsquo;occasion d&rsquo;y descendre, car sa r\u00e9putation n&rsquo;est pas tr\u00e8s attirante. Il a la r\u00e9putation de ne pas \u00eatre tr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0int\u00e9ressant\u00a0\u00bb d&rsquo;un point de vue sp\u00e9l\u00e9ologique. L&rsquo;entr\u00e9e pr\u00e9sente un aspect peu engageant, et de ce que j&rsquo;ai pu en apprendre, des carcasses de b\u00eates crev\u00e9es y sont parfois jet\u00e9es.
